Send an SOS to emergency services or messages to loved ones, get weather forecasts and track your location and route when out of phone reception with this tiny lightweight device. Can be used alone or paired via Bluetooth with a smart phone. Personalized texts (sent or received) and weather forecast are $0.75 each and can be sent directly on the unit or through a smart phone with the Earthmate app. Unlimited free pre-set messages can be sent to pre-chosen contacts via text or email. You must provide this contact info to me for programming as it cannot be programmed by you. There are three pre-set messages: 1. Checking in, all is well! 2. Delayed but everything is OK. 3. Requesting a non-emergent evacuation from our location when possible. Recipients will receive your message along with your location on the map and be able to reply to you if necessary. If you wish to alter these pre-set messages in advance of your trip you must provide me with the changes as this cannot be done by you. Charged battery lasts days under heavy use and weeks under light use. In case of cancellation 2 days before the rental period, 100% of the rental amount is refunded. If canceled one day before the rental period, 50% of the rental amount is refunded. If you cancel the same day the rental period starts, no refund is made.
