Bidirectional Ribbon Microphone
The R1 is a passive, long-geometry ribbon microphone based on a 45mm, 1.8-micron aluminum ribbon and a pair of Neodymium magnets. The output transformer is of Chinese origin.

The ribbon is mounted in an offset fashion, which means that the front and rear of the microphone provide two different colors of sound. 

The mic ships with a spider shockmount and an aluminum flightcase.

The SE Titan utilizes a specially developed centre terminated titanium diaphragm capsule creating a frequency characteristic to enhance clarity, detail, and transient response. 

Why Titanium? Titanium has special properties that make it well suited to making high quality microphone diaphragms, and is used in the famous Neumann M150 diaphragm (one of Neumann's most expensive models). Like gold it does not tarnish but it is a lighter metal than gold and stiffer, therefore it moves faster and yields a superior transient response. A better transient response means clear high frequencies with less distortion and a tighter low frequency response. 

The SE Titan features -10dB pad and low frequency rolloff switches and is excellent for vocal recording and broadcast use. It is also well suited for miking any acoustic instrument, orchestral to ethnic. Its excellent transient response makes it ideal for percussion.

The Advanced Audio CM47 is a large dual-diaphragm, multi-pattern, tube condenser microphone inspired by the famous Neumann U-47. The CM47 is a great choice for vocals, saxophones, acoustic instruments, and excels in front of bass and guitar amps.

The Groove Tubes GT-44 is a tube condenser in an end-address, “pencil microphone” form factor. Designed by Aspen Pittman, the mic uses interchangeable 3/4-inch capsules.



The GM10 guitar mic is a unique new addition to the SE range, designed to solve an age old problem in micing acoustic guitars for studio recordings.

The GM10 incorporates the world`s smallest gold sputtered mylar capsule at 17.1mm, along with a
proprietary shock mount assembly built into the capsule head.

A universal clamping system enables the user to fix the mic in place (on any flat backed acoustic guitar) so the condenser capsule is perfectly placed top record take after take from exactly the same position.

The clamping mechanism and shock mount ensure that there is zero mechanical noise transferred
through the guitar body. This allows the user to capture a perfect recording every time, while still
being able to move around freely, which encourages the performer to give their best on a take

This microphone was designed for Critical Audiophile Applications such as orchestral recordings in fine acoustical environments. 

With very low noise specifications, the “TL” is ideal for chamber music, and for classical recordings when clarity and detailed response is vital. It is an extremely transparent microphone for applications such as concert grand pianos, orchestral percussion, all manner of strings and brass; for choirs, or broadcast voice-talent.

With four polar patterns, it offers great versatility! By 2002, ADK had a dozen US symphonies
as end users. Among this distinguished group, the ADK TL is the # 1 choice.

SE Electronics' Gemini is pleasantly unusual, and while it may not be the obvious choice for smoothing away rough edges, it's fantastic for placing your vocals right at the front of a mix or for delivering an intimate sound. It has warmth and it has depth, but that's balanced by its airy high end.

The Gemini has a 20Hz-20kHz frequency range, but with a little presence lift to add air and detail to the high end. Its sensitivity is a fairly typical 20mV/Pa, and the output impedance is an equally typical 200Ω. Its equivalent input noise level is 16dBA, which is on the good side for a tube mic, and though the mic has no pad switch fitted it can accommodate SPLs are high as 130dB.

The Gemini comes packaged in a wooden presentation box next to its custom shockmount and robust power supply, all within a secure and solid flight case.
