fter being disappointed by Soviet lenses in the past, the Helios 44M was a pleasant surprise, and has become a welcome sight on my SV. Its slightly narrow focal length suits my style of shooting very well, and the images it makes impress me almost every time. It’s a genuine Soviet sleeper lens, and deserves every bit of praise it gets.


This large film is well suited to photography at parties and other gatherings. Everybody's facial expressions are clearly shown.

I had a terrible experience renting a camera lens from Carlos.

His service was appalling - he was rude and unhelpful. It seemed like he was only interested in grabbing money without any regard for the renter’s needs or concerns. The lens I rented was also in poor condition, clearly not well-maintained. I would not recommend this rental to anyone. Stay away if you value good service and quality equipment.
