The CMC 6 Ug is designed for standard 48- and 12-Volt phantom powering. Its circuitry recognizes the supply voltage and adjusts itself automatically. Its performance characteristics remain essentially the same either way; mainly, the difference is that the current drawn at 12 Volts is greater than at 48 Volts. However, the 12-Volt mode consumes less power and might be preferred for battery-powered

Schoeps Mk 41 Microphone Capsule

The MK 41 is strongly directional. Sound arriving from off axis is attenuated even more than with a cardioid. The pickup is “drier” and less susceptible to acoustic feedback than any other SCHOEPS capsule type (a loudspeaker should not be located directly along the rear axis of the microphone, however).

...a shotgun mic of-course, officer. Perfect for a huge variety of audio-recording scenarios for film or otherwise. As focused as they come, its narrow field is especially good for capturing the sound of a subject (person or otherwise) and very little of anything else. But you already knew that if you're here.

Using the included XLR cable this mic can be plugged direct into some cameras, all sound-kits, and some field-recorders like the Zoom H4n I also have listed - bundle discount possible. The quality of this microphone in particular has made it a favourite for those making good films on tight budgets. Variable range toggle is visible on the side of the microphone (it has its own photo), and this mic also comes with a 2 metre XLR cable (as mentioned) and a cute branded windshield.

A run-of-the-mill for anything above amateur film-making, this microphone accepts two external XLR microphones or records high quality sounds itself, easily good enough for film-sound, podcasts or even a low-key musical recording. Its in-built mics are field-adjustable and record damn-crispy stereo. If you really want to do everything on one device you can even record four-track directly on the zoom itself. All in all it's very handy, thus the 'handy recorder' title, I suppose.

My particular model is in full working condition (they're sturdy devices (don't throw it off a cliff or anything though please)), except for two things:
The first is a little bit of a nuisance. The SD slot is jammed and so it won't spring out cards and often damages them on their way out or in. As a result I've left a 2GB SD card (enough for a number of hours of sound) in the device - please don't remove it! - just use the USB cord the mic comes with to transfer your files and clear the card.

The other thing is 'scuff' patch visible in the rear photo, where I attached it too tightly to a tripod. Cosmetic only.

Also comes with a mains lead, trim case to keep in and a kit-standard windshielding puff-ball hat thing.

The supplied Rycote accessories mean that you are able to record in high-wind environments - this microphone can do it all! It is important to mention that this microphone outputs A-format Ambisonics, a 4 channel format of audio that requires further decoding in order to be applied effectively in post production. You will also require a 4ch. recorder capable of supplying 48V phantom power to all 4 of the Ambeo's XLR connectors. 

Without wishing to insult anyone here (sorry if you already know exactly what this mic can do!) I am more than happy to offer advice or demonstrations on how to record + produce 360-degree audio prior to you renting this out. If you've ever contemplated giving one of these a go, I strongly recommend it. Not only for the fact that it's an Ambisonics mic - the thing just sounds plain fantastic! 

Condition is absolutely pristine - the mic has been hard-cased since new and has been exceptionally well cared for.
