Snugpak Chrysalis 3 Sleeping Bag

Very comfortable and fantastic quality sleeping bag from Snugpak - The Chrysalis 3 uses Snugpak’s Softie synthetic fill to keep you warm, and the same insulation is used by the British military in the Snugpak sleeping bags that they use.

The bag comes with an LED torch that attaches to the hood (a genius idea) and it can be cinched in at the top to keep draughts out. The temperature ratings will suit a wide variety of three-season adventures and even some winter excursions.

I personally used this sleeping bag when cycling/hiking in Indian Himalayas and it was absolutely perfect for the cold nights. Very soft and comfortable, and super easy to pack away as you can stuff it in rather than have to fold it up.

PITCHING/TAKING DOWN
Quick installation. Free-standing tent (once assembled, you can place it wherever you like and if there's no wind, you don't need to use any pegs). Easy folding using our Quechua's easy guiding system.

VENTILATION
Flysheet with 2 side panels that can be pulled out and attached to side guy ropes (opens from inside too). Air can circulate in the bedroom. The bedroom's rear flysheet can also be raised from the inside by pulling on a cord.

SUN PROTECTION
The flysheet fabric filters UV rays and has an UPF of 30.

WATERPROOFING
All Quechua tents are laboratory tested (entire tent under 200 L/sqm/h for 4 hours) as well as field tested.
(Polyester flysheet with 2,000 mm PU coating, Polyethylene ground sheet, 120 g/sqm, all seams are sealed with thermobonded tapes). A breathable polyester bedroom under the flysheet helps prevent contact with drops of condensation that can form on the inside of the flysheet.

WIND RESISTANCE
All tents tested in a wind tunnel on a rotating platform to expose each side of the tent to the wind. A properly assembled tent with all the guy ropes properly positioned around the tent should remain habitable in wind speeds of up to 50km/h measured near ground level (Force 6).
