In terms of tone, I'd say the Hummingbird sits somewhere between the rich warmth of a round-shouldered Gibson J-200 and the more metallic attack of a dreadnought Martin. Which makes it one hell of a versatile guitar. Great for strumming, picking and lead work. Rental includes hard case.
