The BMW R1200 GS series with its boxer engine and shaft drive is the iconic benchmark touring enduro motorcycle. All other adventure touring bikes are compared to this one.  BMW R 1200 RT LE motorbikes for rental are the top specification version of this outstanding, shaft driven, touring motorcycle. BMW’s liquid cooled, 1170cc, boxer-twin is  at the heart of this machine following a wholesale redesign in 2014. The R1200 RT is a refined and classic touring motorcycle.

BMW Motorrad introduced the S 1000 XR to the market in 2015 as their first ever Sports Adventure motorcycle. It is powered by the same four cylinder, in-line, sports motor as BMW’s S 1000 R superbike, but it is set up with a similar riding position to the GS series. The S 1000 XR motor, like the R series superbike, produces 160 bhp at 11,000 rpm and its immense power is chain driven to the back wheel via the acclaimed BMW S series 6-speed gearbox. 



These bikes are also a good general run-around for someone needing transport for a week or so. They have a chrome luggage rack for light loads.



The Tracer 700 is based on Yamaha’s successful MT-07 motorcycle. Its 689cc liquid-cooled, parallel twin motor is the same, and produces a class-leading 74 bhp and a hefty 50 ft-lbs of torque. This good-looking motorcycle shares all the excellent qualities of the award-winning MT-07 as well; agility, power, a great gearbox, a very comfortable riding position, and light, responsive handling.

Meet the successor to the award-winning Yamaha MT-09 Tracer. When it was introduced in 2015 the MT-09 Tracer was voted “best all-rounder” by MCN and in 2016 it achieved the same again. This motorbike hire is for riders who seek performance, comfort and the very best of Japanese motorcycle engineering.

The Tracer 900 has evolved from the MT-09 with a better seat, narrower bars, a much improved screen  and a slightly longer swingarm to aid stability. The  improvements are excellent and make it an even better bike to ride than the MT-09 Tracer was.

To cap it off the RoadTrip Tracer 900 is also fitted with a quick shifter which is a fantastic addition to this machine.



The Triumph Thunderbird has been very popular since we added it to our fleet. Finished in Lava Red, and with acres of chrome, the Thunderbird is a pure cruiser with sweeping lines, low seat and high bars. On top of that, Triumph engineering has added superior performance and handling without diluting what the Thunderbird is all about.

he engines in these bikes have been improved and offer significantly more torque at low revs than their predecessors. We also think that the overall riding experience is much improved as well.

It harks back to Triumph’s 1960s glory days when the Bonneville was the riders’ choice on both sides of the Atlantic. They never disappoint!

The Tiger 800XRx is a good-looking motorcycle hire that is great fun to ride and can be easily handled by riders at all levels. Showa front and rear suspension on the Tiger 800 XRx ensures the ride goes well on any surface. There are now four switchable electronic riding modes. These adjust the throttle maps, traction control and ABS sensitivity to suit riding styles and road conditions. Front braking has been upgraded to twin-piston Brembo callipers and the Tiger 800XRx is now powered by Triumph’s re-designed liquid-cooled, 800cc three-cylinder motor.

The powerful motor produces 95bhp at 9,500rpm and has been substantially revised from the previous version. It also has the distinctive sound and character of the Triumph ‘triple’. The reliable six-speed gearbox shifts smoothly and now has a shorter 1st gear.

Tiger XRx Rider and Touring comfort.
Triumph has done a lot of work to make the Tiger 800XRx even more comfortable for riders and passengers. Comfort touring seats with 3D mesh and adjustable rider seat height are fitted. The touring screen is taller and more easily adjustable. The handlebars, hand guards, clutch & brake levers can all be moved.

The Tiger XRx has heated grips, cruise control, better switchgear and LED self-cancelling indicators. The new adjustable angle console is a full colour TFT display. The Tiger 800XRx also has 12v and USB power sockets. A 19-litre tank gives it a range of about 250 miles (400km).

The Triumph Tiger 1050 broke new ground when it launched in 2007. Back then, it was the first ‘Sports Adventure’ bike on the market. Triumph designed this motorcycle for riders who want the comfort and practicality of an adventure bike with the performance and handling of a sports bike. Renamed the ‘Tiger Sport’ in 2013 when it received its first major update, it has remained true to these roots. In 2017 the Tiger Sport received a second, thorough renovation, and this superb new machine is even better in every way than all its predecessors. 

New for the 2019 Season we have added the Tiger 1200 XRt to our fleet of Triumph Tiger hire motorbikes. This top spec. 1200 XRt features the most complete range of electronic accessories and features of any adventure touring motorcycle in the World.

The Tiger 1200’s triple cylinder motor is new, and the six-speed gearbox and shaft drive are also refreshed. The 1200 XRt is now 11 kg lighter than its ‘Explorer’ predecessor.

In the Multistrada 950, Ducati extended the versatile, torquey, 937 cc, 113 bhp, Testrastretta motor into the adventure touring sector. The Multistrada 950 chassis is based on the familiar trellis frame and geometry of the Multistrada 1260. The bike also shares many of its styling cues and advanced technology with the larger Multistrada.

The Multistrada has evolved consistently since its release in 2003 and the 1260S model is the latest version of this iconic motorcycle. The machine is packed with improvements over its predecessors.

Ducati re-entered the sports touring motorcycle sector with the Ducati SuperSport motorcycle. The SuperSport is based on  the 937 cc Testastretta motor and  features riding modes, ride by wire technology and a full complement of Ducati sports and touring technology. The SuperSport is set up for the rider to experience an exhilarating, sporty ride without the full-on, prone racing position and flat-out performance of a 959 Panigale.

For riders who find standard touring motorcycles too tall to ride comfortably and safely, our F750 GS Sport low suspension motorbike also comes with a choice of standard or low saddles. This lowers the seat height to either 770mm or 755mm.

As with our standard height F 750 GS, the low suspension variant builds on the success of its predecessor, the F 700 GS, and is an outstanding medium-sized touring motorcycle. The riding position is very comfortable, and the bike is equipped with the full array of BMW refinements.
