The Foldio360 Smart Turntable allows you to create high quality detailed 360° photos quickly and easily using either a smart phone or DSLR camera. The 360° rotating platform features a Halo Edge light system at the back which creates a bright, white daylight 5700K light making your object stand out without loosing any picture quality. Suitable to use with your Smart Phone via Bluetooth connectivity, the platform will connect directly to the Foldio360 app allowing for automatic photography and editing. It is also compatible with DSLR cameras via IR connectivity.

This can stop and trigger a photo 24 times per turn, or some multiples. It tends to add one at the end, just for fun. The smartphone app can make it rotate smoothly to a position, or keep rotating.

The app can dim or brighen the back "halo" daylight bulbs that reduce shadows behind the turntable, which is unusual. It allows simpler backdrop than a sweep- shape, which in turn allows the backdrop to curve in a C-shape  round the inside of the crate.

You can check compatibility with different Canon and Nikon DSLR cameras for free.. Download the app, select your camera, from the toaster symbol, and press the "test".button before hiring the turntable. 

If you pick-up personally, you can borrow my 46.5cm translucent disc top for free. It's just 5mm smaller than the standard one called a "Foldio extension kit". Also, if you don't have a light box to hand, you can borrow my translucent crate and sheet of white card which is what I use for propping lights on and making a backdrop. The crate is about 55 x 41 x 44 deep or 35 lites.- the kind of thing you'd get at Wilko.

You can also borrow  anything else I have on Fat Lama for the £30 and a couple of charged-up battery packs made of AA batteries. I am not sure how long they last on one charge and can test before lending. It's something like a couple of hours.

There are other Fat Lama members who might rent these out with a large Foldio light tent, or even a photographer; this is a cheap option with just the turntable and some jumble.

Grading a video or editing photos? Then you have to be 100% sure you have a correct color temp, brightness and gamut of your screen + obviously you wanna profile your screen to see colours right. Yes, it´s a science and I honestly don´t fully understand it all, but I know how to keep my monitors showing me the truth. Don´t get misled, want the truth too!

After booking, I will send you a brief manual, how to calibrate and profile your screen by yourself so you don´t need to watch X youtube videos or ask on FB. Don´t waste your time, be quick and accurate. Like me. If you struggle, I can dial in with teamviewer. It will cost you a penny on the top but if you are helpless...

Please note this is probe is OEM branded and will not work with X-rite software. I calibrate with DisplayCalc which is free open source, very accurate and kinda easy to use when following my instruction.

Last but not the least - reserve a time for proper calibration. Detailed profiling can easily take an hour to complete. Fast one can be done in 10 mins though. You shall calibrate your monitor at least every 3 months and not less often than 1 year. If you change your screen, pc/laptop or get a different OS instalation, you have recalibrate everything again - icc profiles are unique for every screen x computer x OS combination.
