Sturdy USB powered little beast. Fits in a backpack. I use it as a midi controller and to trigger samples via Mainstage, but it's good with Ableton as well. It can also make its own sounds through its cute tiny speakers too as a standalone battery-powered tiny synth.

I've used this controller for live performance and photoshoots and it's a lot of fun.

IMPORTANT: This controller is advertised everywhere as wireless but I've used it live quite a bit and the wireless mode has given me some occasional frozen notes (not ideal if you're rocking out in front of an audience!). I have two of these and they both do it - it's just what the Vortex does in general apparently - so feel free to use it wireless if you want, but you have been warned!

I've used this one to perform with Mainstage and it's super reliable. Good with Ableton too. Lots and lots of assignable buttons and bits.
