Visualising this as a frequency curve, it would be shaped like a frown: lower on the bass, rising through the middle and dipping once again at the top end. This tonal character means that the notes blend together well and therefore is ideal for strumming and accompaniment purposes, and when recorded, it sits comfortably in a mix. The solid Engelmann Spruce top is coated with a thin, protective lacquer whereas the back and sides are finished with a satin feel. This contrast ensures a good balance between both control and natural resonance. Natural models are available either as straight acoustic guitars or as electro-acoustic models. HI-GLOSS SERIES Faith HiGloss series are designed to offer both visual and aural beauty. Using Mahogany for both the top and body of a guitar makes for a very “friendly” instrument that responds well to hard picking, strumming and finger-style techniques alike. Further to this, the sound produced is unburdened by overly audible overtones and harmonics, so they perform brilliantly when recording. The solid tonewoods are finished with a darkened amber stain, and coated in a thin layer of our regular PU lacquer: thick enough to protect the timber and control the tone, but still thin enough to allow the wood to resonate as it should. The binding is Macassan Ebony, as is the fingerboard, bridge, headplate and heelcap. CLASSIC BURST SERIES Using the combination of Red Cedar and Mahogany, Classic Burst models sound as rich and warm as they look. Using a three-tone burst finish, based on deep browns, reds and amber, this finish is intentionally understated and is a personal favourite of Patrick's. The tonal character will have emphasis on the lower-midrange with a beautifully warm, vocal nature. The Classic Burst models are bound with Solid Macassan Ebony, and use the same high quality timber for the fingerboards, headplates, heelplates, bridges and bridge pins.
