You can use batteries or plug them into the mains. Cables are provided for each of the lights.

The most amazing thing is that you can have any colour you want - cold white, warm white, red, green, blue, orange, yellow, pink, purple etc.

Just turn the hue button on the back of the light until you find the perfect colour you want.

You can adjust everything from the actual lights at the back manually as well as by connecting to the app - the app does it wirelessly. The password for the WiFi is gvm_admin
After you connect to the Wi-Fi download the app GvmEasily and it will instantly link to it. You can control the brightness, temperature and colour from the app. Remember you can also do this from the back of the lights too, if you don't want to use the app.

They can be both the same colour or you can have for example, one red one blue etc. You can set one of them to be a master light and the second one a slave ( to be controlled by the master light) - and then when you change the colour on the master light it will also change the slave light to the same colour.

You can dim the brightness and saturation - adjust the brightness and saturation of each of the colours you choose! You can have a variation of the actual colour - for example light blue/dark blue.

The hue button will allow you to choose the colour from the colour spectrum - this is from 0 to 360 degrees (so any colour is possible). On the app just tap on the colour wheel the colour you want. 

Modes - apart from a static mode of the lights you can also choose from a selection of other modes (flashing modes that you can explore and can help you with your creativity - like create a police car effect, lightening effect, TV effect and the like)

This is a powerful two-light kit consisting of one Astra 6 x bicolour (six times brighter than Astra 1x1) + DoP Choice soft-box and one Astra Soft bicolour light which is also very powerful, but has a built-in diffuser panel, so great as a fill, or a softened back light. These are industry-favourite workhorses used by BBC, pro film and commercial crews. I have purchased 5m kettle leads for these lights, as the original Astra leads are fairly short. 

The kit comes in a custom rolling Peli Storm case, or Sachtler cube case with shoulder strap. Everything fits inside either case except the two sturdy 10' stands.  There is a soft case for the light stands. Compact sandbags included.

Kino Flo’s new FreeStyle 31 & 21 LED’s include three menu options, one white and two color menus. Those who prefer to work with white light can use the "white menu" that gives the user access to Dimming, Kelvin and Green/Magenta control channels. Kelvin range is from 2700K tungsten to 6500K daylight.
 
In the color menu, the Kelvin range travels from 2500K tungsten to 9900K daylight, and Kino Flo has set up a fourth channel called Gel. The Gel channel includes Kino Flo presets such as blue & green screen, sodium vapor, mercury vapor and over 100 well-known lighting gels. In addition, there is also a fifth channel called Hue Angle and sixth channel, Saturation. These two channels behave similar to a traditional color wheel, where you have white light in the center, and the Hue angle determines the color along a 360-degree range, and Saturation determines how much color is applied.
