It's a fantastic portrait lens with a fast 1.4 aputure. A really sharp piece of glass.

This is a manual portrait lens, one of my favourite. You can achieve great results with shallow depth of field.

fter being disappointed by Soviet lenses in the past, the Helios 44M was a pleasant surprise, and has become a welcome sight on my SV. Its slightly narrow focal length suits my style of shooting very well, and the images it makes impress me almost every time. It’s a genuine Soviet sleeper lens, and deserves every bit of praise it gets.


Possible one of the best manual 50MM lens you can ever use. I love this lens quality. Please search the web for it. 

Can be mounted in most cameras with adaptors. I use it on my Yashica FX3 (film) and Sony A7III (mirrorless digital).
