This is one of the best microphones to record the subject whilst keeping the microphone hidden away off-screen when outside. I've used it for up to 3 meters away and works really well still.

The windshield is great for recording outside and comes with the rental.

NOTE: this requires P48 / phantom power. I can send a custom quote based on your needs for phantom power ie inside, outside or longer recording sessions etc.

The Rode Blimp is a complete windshield and shock mounting accessory for the Rode NTG-1, NTG-2, NTG-3, and NTG-44 microphones or any shotgun microphone up to 325mm in length. this new version features a new Rycote shockmount and handle design. The NTG4+ microphone is the latest edition with a built-in battery that lasts 150h or 5/6 days. I provide a USB charging cable and you will receive it fully charged. 

The Rode BoomPole Pro is very light and made of carbon fibre. Weighs only 535grams. 
From a compact 810mm (2‘ 8”), extends to a full 3m (10’)
The sections are easily extendable with one hand thanks to an intuitive twist-lock mechanic.

The blimp features the Rycote Lyre suspension system, providing the  ultimate in microphone suspension and isolation.
