Description
This is for my next historical epic where the main character (Viking mercenary aka Varangian) where he battles Arabs from Anatolia in the many campaigns with the Byzantine armies. Real history: The Saracens where a term given to most of the Arabs at the time, even though Muslim had many versions and armies this was the term used generally before the Seljuk Turks of Rum and later the Ottoman Empire dominated the Eastern Roman Empire regions. Costume items: 1) Blue overall 1 piece top with gold embroidery 2) Belts (various options) included upon request 3) Greek shield (real 1s don't exist anymore or are too expensive (mainly kite type shields were used) 4) 1 spear (5ft) not the traditional 6-12 ft sarissas (introduced by Philip II of Macedon (Alexander the Great's father) 5) Blue headdress including w white scarf to wrap around (Gold foam crown optional) 6) 2x pirate swords as options since real Muslim swords are too expensive & hard to source 7) Sword strap (hangs lose but helps with it remaining on the side of the body You Tube vid for ref: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VF2B_JNhMqA
