These are very compact, small diaphragm condenser microphones

This little microphone has a natural, detailed and balanced response. Perfect for natural reproduction of acoustical instruments such as members of the bowed and plucked string-families, grand piano, brass, percussion, overhead choir and voice -with a minimum of colouration. The linear off axis performance is beneficial with large sound sources and for stereo recording, preserving sound character at an angle.
The CM4 is tough enough to handle drums with full depth and punch, drum overhead clearly and crisp without strain. It also handles amplified instruments well. -A true all round microphone!

This is one of the best microphones to record the subject whilst keeping the microphone hidden away off-screen when outside. I've used it for up to 3 meters away and works really well still.

The windshield is great for recording outside and comes with the rental.

NOTE: this requires P48 / phantom power. I can send a custom quote based on your needs for phantom power ie inside, outside or longer recording sessions etc.

This is a newly developed shotgun microphone from Sennheiser with better spec and sound than MKH416 which was designed in 70s...

This microphone is primarily suitable for exterior and acoustically damped large interiors. NOT SUITABLE FOR REVERBERANT OR SMALL SPACES!

Microphone will be rented in a soft case and with a Rycote Softie suitable for mild outdoor conditions with little or no wind. Blimp, rycote shock mount, boom poles, cable, recorders and other accesory in other listing or on request.
