These are very fast and very sharp prime lens that produce great images.
Though designed for Sony PMW-F3, PMW-F5 and PMW-F55, this lens could also be useful for any PL mount camera / camcorder such as Red and Arri.

NOTE: There have been some reports on the web of the Sony PL lenses not working with cameras other than the Sony PL cameras. Sony stated that it seems to occur on a lens-by-lens / camera-by-camera basis; a lens may fit on one ARRI Alexa or RED, but not on another. Therefore I can't guarantee that they would fit on non-Sony PL camera (though it's very likely that they will).

Now about the quality: the outer casing is a bit plasticy in comparison to a Zeiss CP2 but the glass is much sharper. The lightweight nature of these lenses is perfect in handheld applications. The optics are good and can be compared to Zeiss Super Speeds or Ultra Primes. There is little to no light falloff at the edges and resolution is even from corner to corner. Breathing is present but minimal. This lens certainly gets the job done. 
An objective of the design of these lenses (35, 50 and 85) was to create good quality lenses that weren’t too expensive. Sony focused on geometry; making sure that, edge to edge, the lenses have a minimum amount of barrel distortion and focus fall-off.

This is a Nikon F mount option of the Samyang 50mm T1.5 Cine lens, with a hood as well as front and rear protective caps. It has a front diameter of 77mm. The lens offers semi-professional cine lens functionality (de-clicked meaning no steps, and geared focus for easy use with follow focus) at a very affordable price. What makes this lens optically outstanding is that optically it can truly be used shooting wide open at T1.5 with very minor optical degradation.

This is a Nikon F mount option of the Samyang 85mm T1.5 Cine, and it comes with protective caps and lens hood. The front diameter is 77mm.
It is a semi-professional cine lens featuring de-clicked aperture (meaning no steps for smooth operation), and geared focus for easy use with follow focus.

It has the latest generation multi-layer anti-reflection ultra multi-coating (UMC) to minimise flare and ghosting.
This lens can be used both in photography and cinematography. The frame of the lens is compact and solid since it is made of high-strength aluminium.

The HVR-MRC1K turns your older (tape) camera into a tapeless recording kit, offering you speed and convenience (transferring a DV tape vs a CF card, plus a backup if you choose dual recording mode). I have used it with Canon XH-A1 and Sony HVR-Z1, and it works just perfect. It should work with any camera that has a firewire port.
The recorder captures the HDV, DVCAM, or DV stream output from the camcorder to a standard CompactFlash solid-state memory card, and it can simultaneously record to tape - if you want a back up. It is extremely compact and lightweight and can be attached to the accessory shoe of the camcorder.
Reliable, easy to use, and CF media is rugged in every way HDV tapes are weak.
I only used it with Windows and I heard it won't mount on a Mac, unless using FCP with plug in.
Two 16-GB CF cards are included in the rental, each will record about 70 minutes of footage. Also included is a standard battery (NP-F570, lasts around 2 hours) and a charger.

When the F3 came out, it was priced at almost £13,000 (body only), reflecting the quality and features of this camcorder. 

Canon XH-A1 is an amazing camera even though it's about 10 years old. The lens is awesome, and produces HD images comparable to some expensive new camcorder models, also in low light.
Apart from amazing glass, it has 3 CCDs at 1/3 inch each, 2 external XLR connections, 20x zoom, easily accessible settings, etc. Although a bit dated now, XH-A1 has been used to shot feature films, for example "Crank 2: High Voltage" with Jason Statham.
It records to Mini DV tapes that are still readily available online and relatively inexpensive, but in case you prefer to record to a card, I'm including Sony HVR-MRC 1 recording unit. This makes it more suitable to today's standards. The unit be connected to the camera via firewire port and allows you to capture video directly to CF cards (2 included). If you like, you can record to tape and card at the same time, e.g. for backup.

This is a really sturdy and reliable camcorder, workhorse defines it the best. Even though it was released 9 years ago, it's still well suitable for all kinds of semi-pro and pro productions (for example, BBC was using them, and the film Once was shot with this camera).

Samyang 16mm T2.2 Cine Lens for Nikon F is a wide-angle lens optimized for digital cinematography. 
The lens produces an image circle that will cover APS-C sized sensors or smaller. The focus and aperture rings feature industry-standard 0.8 pitch gearing for attaching a follow focus unit. The aperture ring is also de-clicked to allow for smooth iris pulls while shooting. Focus, aperture, and depth of field markings are on the side of the lens to aid focus pullers, who typically operates on the side of the camera.
The 16mm T2.2 lens is constructed out of 13 individual elements in 11 groups, including one aspherical and one hybrid aspherical element. Aspherical elements help minimize unwanted distortion and chromatic aberrations. The lens also has a multi-layer coating to reduce flares and maintain image contrast in bright conditions.

This adaptor allows the use of any Nikon mounted lens on Sony FZ mount cameras such as the F3, F5 and F55. You can also use Samyang video lenses with Nikon mount, which are much cheaper than PL lenses and of good quality.
Although designed for G series lenses, this adaptor is compatible with ALL Nikon lenses including DX series.
This adaptor allows aperture adjustment simply by turning the blue ring.
Note that it will introduce a magnification factor of 1.5x when used with full frame 35mm lenses.

Sony PMW-F3 Super 35mm Camcorder + S-Log RGB 4:4:4 Firmware upgrade + PL lenses.
Announced back in 2010, the Sony F3 was the first “affordable” Super 35mm camera. At the time, $16,000 USD was cheap for a digital Super 35mm camera (£13,000 in the UK, for body only). The S-Log upgrade cost USD 3,600, so the total cost for the upgrade, body and 3 Sony PL mount lenses was almost USD 30,000 - and more expensive in the UK. 
The camera uses a 2.5K sensor but can "only" record HD (do you need to shoot in 4K?). It is "only" capable of recording 35 Mbit/sec 4:2:0 internally to SxS cards. However, through the use of HD-SDI dual-link outputs you can externally record 4:2:2 1080 up to 50/59.94P, or RGB 4:4:4 1080 at up to 29.97P. With the Convergent Design Odyssey 7Q (see my separate listing), you can record 4444 ProRes or 4:4:4 DPX files from the F3.
Some modern cameras have better internal recording options. The beauty of some of older cameras is that you can pair them with a relatively inexpensive external recorder and record in very good codecs. If you take the F3 for example, you can record 1080p 444RGB externally to a very good codec. Very few modern cameras can record 444 unless you spend a significant amount of money.
The F3 uses a versatile Sony FZ mount and comes with a PL mount adapter. A wide variety of lens mount adapters are also available so you can run just about any lens you can think of on the F3 (see my separate listings). 

The F3 is lightweight, has long run times on small batteries, built-in ND filters and proper audio. 

Pros: Good image quality, 444 RGB output, Log recording, long battery runtimes, built-in NDs, proper XLR inputs, small, compact size.

With 422, you are cutting the resolution of the R and B channels in half. Colour space and lack of compression are far more important than resolution.

And speaking of resolution, I'm coming back to my question: do you really need to shoot 4K or is HD (=almost 2K) enough?
Resolution is the single most overrated factor when it comes to deciding on what camera to use. 
Lots of films have been originated on 1080p, and theatrically released (e.g. Hugo).
Some films (like Borat) were shot on 720p and theatrically released.
Many films were even shot on standard-def video (like 28 Days Later, among many others) and theatrically released.

Though designed for Sony PMW-F3, PMW-F5 and PMW-F55, this lens could also be useful for any PL mount camera / camcorder such as Red and Arri.

NOTE: There have been some reports on the web of the Sony PL lenses not working with cameras other than the Sony PL cameras. Sony stated that it seems to occur on a lens-by-lens / camera-by-camera basis; a lens may fit on one ARRI Alexa or RED, but not on another. 

Now about the quality: In all honesty, the outer casing is a bit plasticy in comparison to a Zeiss CP2 but the glass is much sharper. The lightweight nature of these lenses is perfect in handheld applications. The optics are good and can be compared to Zeiss Super Speeds or Ultra Primes. There is little to no light falloff at the edges and resolution is even from corner to corner. Breathing is present but minimal. This lens certainly gets the job done. 
An objective of the design of these lenses (35, 50 and 85) was to create good quality lenses that weren’t too expensive. Sony focused on geometry; making sure that, edge to edge, the lenses have a minimum amount of barrel distortion and focus fall-off.

This lens that doesn't degrade or compromise HD image clarity. Well constructed, good optical quality. You can zoom through this lens and retain clarity and depth. 
There are no issues with focus or distortion and the image is very sharp.
The adapter is a bit heavy because of the all metal housing, so the camera can become a tad front heavy with it mounted, however, it is a quality product.

The Panasonic LUMIX DMC-TZ60 is an ultra-slim compact 18MP camera featuring a massive 30x optical zoom Leica lens.

If you look for a 100" video picture with high resolution and contrast, deep colour saturation, ultra short throw, and 2.5kg portability, look no further!
Thanks to ultra short throw (UST), you can place it next to a wall and project full HD images up to 100". The UST eliminates the need to run cables across a room.
For the 90-inch image, the front of the projector needs to be only 12 inches from the screen/wall.

The picture quality is gorgeous when viewing in a dark room. At 60" it absolutely sparkles, at 80" it solid and engaging, and at 100" it is lower in contrast, but still quite enjoyable. In fact, the image quality is even serviceable at 120". 
Contrast and colour saturation are rich and superb at screen sizes up to 80", and begin to fade as you move toward 100." 

It works great at night or in a dark room - the image is likely to look washed out during the day or with ambient light (therefore not very suitable for presentations in a bright room). 
If you plan to watch in a room with indirect ambient light or a lot of white, reflective surfaces, you are better off staying in the 60" to 80" range for image size. 
The 3D performance is stable and artifact-free - you will need 3D glasses and 3D player for that (and of course a 3D film). There is almost no rainbow effects.
It has a built-in TV tuner and the USB port lets you read files directly from a USB memory key.

This is a high-contrast, foldable HD/4K projection screen that can be hung using the hole grommets.
Unlike some cheaper versions, this one is thicker as it contains 4 layers (the last one is black, which eliminates light penetration) and so produces top-quality color reproduction.

Do you haver an archive of 8mm/Hi8mm/Digital8 recordings that you want to digitalise (e.g. convert to DVDs)? The GV-D800 is a compact and portable device for playing, recording and editing footage. 
Comes with battery and A/V cable.
A perfect solution if you want to digitalise your 8mm or Hi8 tapes but  your camera stopped working or you don’t have it any longer. It allows you to avoid costly (per tape) transfer services. The device has an i.Link In/Out DV Interface (also called IEEE-1394) so can be connected to laptop/PC using the firewire cable.
Alternatively, you can connect it to a grabber device using the analogue connections: the device features Composite (RCA) and S-Video input and output for compatibility with analog equipment.

Amazing set of 7 Cinemod Zeiss Contax lenses and a non-cinemod contax. The pins have all been reduced to allow them to work with adapters e.g. Metabones. All fitted with high quality EF adapters. Cine-modded Contax Zeiss Primes.

'The Samyang 14mm T3.1 Lens was developed primarily for film and video applications. The cine version of Samyang's 14mm lens features industry-standard gearing for the focus and aperture ring, and the aperture ring has been "declicked" for smooth iris pulls. The aperture and focus scales have also been relocated to the side of the lens, where it is easier for focus pullers to read them.

The Samyang 14mm cine lens is compatible with full-frame sensors, and produces a 115 degree ultra-wide angle-of-view. These lenses are in high demand as they are exceptional quality glass at an affordable price. The wait list to buy them is currently over 12 months.

They are a wonderful blend of vintage look with contemporary mechanics and resolution. A joy to use - glorious flares when you want them and gentle pleasing bokeh/drop-off.
