The Yamaha DTX series has had very positive reviews for it's versatility, and is especially great for beginners and developing players. 

The sounds are crisp and realistic. You will be able to connect, upgrade and expand the kit with it's usb functions, as well as have the option to add another crash cymbal should you need. There are 10 different sets to play, and you will be able to upload and change around the arrangement to what suits your needs.

You can connect the kit to music programs such as Cubase and upload your playing. There is also a built in metronome and 10 different tracks to play along to. Likewise with the sets, you can upload your music and play along. 

You'll need headphones to play. Without headphones, you'll be needing some speakers with the relevant connections.
