The Rane MP2014 is a 2-channel rotary DJ mixer that is equipped with high-quality audio architecture that provides you with the most pristine sound possible thanks to the addition of studio quality preamplifiers, and the range of professional DJ features and controls gives you the most control possible over your mix. The MP2014 has been tailor-made for DJs who are looking for fluidity and smooth track transitions as well as simplicity and re...
liability and is ideal for house/techno DJs who prefer to blend and mix tracks together rather than perform scratching and performance-based DJ techniques. This mixer also makes a perfect addition to clubs and bars as well as home setups. The MP2014 rotary mixer has been designed for high-resolution audio giving you 24-bit studio-quality preamps and provides you with a large 116dB dynamic range which is ideal for DJs that play with uncompressed WAV and FLAC formatted music files. The professional, high-quality sound starts and ends with the 24-bit audio signal converters and makes use of Audio Pro 4 delta-sigma modulator converters while integrated, modified FIR technology minimises group delay and allows for an excellent linear phase response. A proprietary 24-bit digital filter offers a better sound quality with low-distortion, and a super wide dynamic range and the differential outputs eliminate the need for AC power coupling which further increases the audio performance of the mixer. All input and output converters support sample rates of 44.1, 48, and 96 kHz and gives you an astonishingly low THD+N of 0.001%. Both channels, as well as the session input, are fitted with a dedicated filter control that offers three styles of filtering options including low-pass, high-pass, and low/high-pass combo, all of which come with the super steep 24dB/octave slopes and let you perform the smoothest filter sweeps possible. When in low-pass mode you can sweep the full frequency range from 20 Hz– 20 kHz with the middle position hits 635Hz, when in high-pass mode you can also sweep the full 20 Hz – 20 kHz range and the middle position also hits 635 Hz. When in the combo mode the middle position does not affect the signal, however, when turned right you sweep through a high-pass filter and when turned left you sweep through a low-pass filter. A single resonance knob lets you shape your filters and perform some cool frequency effects. All filters are high-resolution, super-fast and free of artifacts. Both channels are fitted with an exceptional 3-band EQ that either raises a frequency band by 6dB or can completely kill a frequency band so you can blend your tracks frequencies together with fluidity. The EQ controls are characterised by a 12dB/octave slope and have selectable crossover points of 150 Hz/6.0 kHz, or 300 Hz/3.0 kHz and can be selected inside of the user control panel when connected to a computer via one of the USB ports. At the top of the mixer is a 3-band EQ for the main mix with a steep 24dB/octave slope on each band control and features crossover points that can be access directly from the mixer which allows you to match the isolator to your playing tracks and gives you a fantastic amount of control over the overall sound of the main mix. The rear of the MP2014 features dual USB ports that allow you to simultaneously connect two computers to the mixer for seamless DJ changeovers and back to back performances and can easily be selected on a channel using the input source select control. The control panel application provides you with the ability to access options and settings that affect the inputs, outputs, headphones, tone controls. Microphone, recording, MIDI, USB, and buffer size which easily makes this mixer one of the most versatile DJ mixers available on the market.
