You can simply plug and play however you can optionally connect with an app called SongPal which quickly allows you to customise the lights to several styles, adjust the music sound presets (EQ) and put some DJ effects on your music.

Good for music in the home, partys and even pop up cinemas (there is an option to switch the speaker lights off)
