The Custom version of the iconic Telecaster brings a retro feel and a unique sound to go with it. A pair of distinctive pickups give this instrument a slightly different and unique tonal flavour (see below for more info). Individual volume and tone controls let you easily achieve any adjustments when required. An alder body and maple neck combine to make a solid and rich sounding instrument.

At the end of the resurgent "Dan Smith" era, Fender introduced a new Stratocaster with only two control knobs and a input jack mounted on the top of the body for 1983 and 1984. This guitar is referred to as the "Standard Stratocaster" (not to be confused with the later Made in Mexico Strat of the same name). We came across this beauty in a trade scenario. It sounds resonant, and the neck feels great. One minute on this thing, and you will understand why this era of Stratocaster is so revered. Why? Tone, baby, great tone.
