The Custom version of the iconic Telecaster brings a retro feel and a unique sound to go with it. A pair of distinctive pickups give this instrument a slightly different and unique tonal flavour (see below for more info). At the end of the resurgent "Dan Smith" era, Fender introduced a new Stratocaster with only two control knobs and a input jack mounted on the top of the body for 1983 and 1984. This guitar is referred to as the "Standard Stratocaster" (not to be confused with the later Made in Mexico Strat of the same name). We came across this beauty in a trade scenario. It sounds resonant, and the neck feels great. One minute on this thing, and you will understand why this era of Stratocaster is so revered. Why? Tone, baby, great tone.

Great condition, with new strings too and comes with the original padded Fender gig bag.

Has a few of scratches on the underside of the body (see pictures) but not noticeable at all.

I've had this guitar for 10 years but it's only been gigged about 10 times and never gets played at home as I use a different guitar.

The jack socket is a touch loose but the electrics work totally fine. I'd suggest a touch of gaffa tape on it if it bothered you.
