Sound Devices MixPre-3 portable audio recorder. Colour touch screen, so simple to use and sounds incredible. The preamps, general sound quality and ease of use are a huge cut above the Zoom H6, H5, or Tascam's offerings (I've owned them all!).

You will need an SD card and 4x AA batteries (and obviously mic/headphones etc if you're recording something!). I personally use a USB-C external power bank which powers it for a very long time (hence the velcro on top), I can supply that and/or an SD card by request.

The perfect bundle for recording high quality audio, a cut above the often seen but lower quality NTG2 + Zoom H6 or H5 pairing. Both the Mixpre-3 and the NTG3 are far superior in quality, and easier to use than the cheaper combos that audio recordists and filmmakers sometimes settle for. This equipment is worth over £1500.

All you will need is an SD card (I can provide if you need), and some headphones. The NTG3 can be run on phantom power of the MixPre-3. The Mixpre-3 itself can be run on 4x AA batteries, but I run it on an external USB-C powerbank (hence the velcro on top) which I can provide on request.

The Sachtler Flowtech 75 tripod legs are a real God-send in this setup as they adjust from the top, so you don't have to support all the camera/slider weight while crouching down. Thats why its a £1000 tripod!

This is a very, very high quality tripod and head combo. A film and video makers dream.
