Description
Beautiful vintage Gibson Les Paul Deluxe in Cherry Sunburst. It's hard to believe, but the single-cut Les Paul that we know and love was out of production for most of the 1960s. And it was the Les Paul Deluxe that relaunched the brand at scale in 1970. This one's a perfect example, with the original electrics and mini-humbuckers, an incredibly low action, and the unique tonal range of those mini-humbuckers. It's a vintage guitar, and it's had a life on the road, so bears the scars of that life. The cherry sunburst has faded lightly, and the neck has some serious playwear through to the wood. Over the years, the tuners, bridge and featherweight stop bar have been replaced, and those new parts are now well-aged themselves. When I got it, the nylon nut had worn just that little bit too low, so the guitar now benefits from a bone nut - for extra sustain. Plays beautifully.
