Description
The Martindale SPL82 Data Logging Sound Level Meter is a Class 2 sound meter that measures sound pressure level from 30dB and 130dB with a 0.1dB resolution and an accuracy of ±1.4dB. The dynamic range of 60dB means that the overall measuring range is split into three different operating ranges. The meter is compatible with sounds of frequencies between 20Hz and 8kHz which covers the entire human hearing range. ‘A’ and ‘C’ frequency weighting is available for different applications and there is also the option of fast or slow time weighting. The Martindale SPL82 is a datalogging sound meter which is capable of monitoring an environment over an extended period thanks to a 64,000-spot capacity internal memory. For longer-term monitoring, the meter can be mounted on a tripod and externally powered. In instances where the internal memory is not large enough, it can even be attached to separate recording devices via DC and AC outputs. Readings are shown on the Martindale SPL82 via a clear digital screen and it is possible to view minimum and maximum readings when required. The battery lasts for approximately 24 hours and the meter comes with a USB cable and software package that allow data to be transferred to a PC. It conforms to BS EN 61672-1.
