Hi, this is my professional-grade thermal camera, it's pretty much brand new, so I'm quite anxious about renting it out, however it's an invaluable tool for finding problems, understanding heat loss from buildings, heating system performance and figuring out solutions, so if I can help you by renting my tools, I should do so. I'm assuming most people will want it for inspecting their homes, but there's many other uses too, including electrical & mechanical fault detection, since things tend to get hot just before they fail, so if you're wondering, feel free to get in touch and I can answer your questions. A few people have rented it specifically to record thermal video, which is a feature many cameras don't have, so I thought it's worth mentioning. I bought this particular camera, because it's very sensitive (less than 40 milikelvins), which allows you to detect small differences in temperature and see where air is leaking, or building materials are poorly fitted, perhaps if you've had work done and are still cold! (you can see the difference between a wooden stud inside a wall and the plasterboard either side of it for instance) The ability to record video can be very handy if you want to look back over a scan of a wide area. There's a piece of analysis software too if you want to get really into it! Any questions, just ask. Here's the online description of this model for reference: Optimised for conducting temperature measurements in transformer substations, the Hikmicro M10 Handheld Thermal Imaging Camera is a rugged infrared and visible-light imager. It can be used to maximise uptime by detecting faults before failure. Thermal & Visible-Light Imaging The Hikmicro M10 Handheld Thermal Imaging Camera has an IR resolution of 160x120px, a thermal sensitivity of <40mK, and a 25° x 18.7° field-of-view. It can detect and display real-time temperatures and will measure temperatures between -20°C and +550°C to an accuracy of ±2°C/ 2%. It includes a long-distance laser light for identifying the thermography target ensuring that the user captures the correct measurement. The Hikmicro M10 Handheld Thermal Imaging Camera also features an optical module with a configurable picture resolution which can be set to 2MP, 5MP or 8MP. In addition to capturing visible-light images, the Hikmicro M10 Handheld Thermal Imaging Camera can record optical footage with a 640x480px resolution. The Hikmicro M10 Handheld Thermal Imaging Camera can be set to display images in Optical, Thermal, Fusion Image or Picture-in-Picture mode. Fusion Image mode combines footage from both the infrared and optical channels to create a more detailed thermal picture; this makes it easier for the user to pinpoint the exact source of faults. In addition to the aforementioned imaging modes, the Hikmicro M10 Handheld Thermal Imaging Camera includes selectable thermal palettes (Black Hot, White Hot, Red Hot, Ironbow, Rainbow, Fusion and Rain) which can be set according to the alarm function. It also features a 4x digital zoom and the following noise filters and image-enhancement technology: Digital Detail Enhancement (DDE) Filter 3D Digital Noise Reduction (DNR) Technology Automatic Gain Control (AGC) Technology
