The Canon EF to Sony FZ T CINE Smart Adapter allows Canon EF lenses to be mounted onto a Sony FZ-mount camera, including the F3, F5, and F55. You can then use the aperture ring to manually control the iris on electronic EF lenses. In fact If affords a very smooth, long throw linear response (with viewable F stop scale) when used with EF electronic lenses. PLEASE NOTE: This adaptor would not as stock fit a Sony PMW F3 so it has been modded to accommodate. Half of the aperture ring has been removed to facilitate fitment to the F3's FZ mount. ( Pics 4 and 5 show how much of the ring I've removed) If you are using your own F3 (not mine) you will have to remove the two lugs on the PL mount as arrowed in pics 6 and 7. There are just 4 screws and they are easy to remove. However If you are using on a Sony F5 or 55 it will just fit and operate as normal. The locking PL type mount for the EF lens offers a very secure and solid lens fitment It is an extremely well made and solid piece of engineering. Pleasure to use Because of the mod the aperture ring is not really suitable for use with FIZ type systems.
