The Sekonic SpectroMaster C-800 is the ultimate colour meter for filmmakers and photographers. It can accurately measure a wide range of light sources including LED, HMI, Fluorescent, Tungsten, Natural Light and Flash, from 380 to 780 nm. It also offers expanded colour rendering properties such as CRI, SSI, TLCI, TLMF, and TM-30-15, as well as extended colour control parameters including Hue/Saturation and CIE 1931 x, y chromaticity coordinate. The meter has a wide measurement range of Colour Temperature (1,600 to 40,000K) and illumination (1 to 200,000lx in ambient light, 20 to 20,500lx in flash light) and a user-friendly design with a 270 degrees swivel head, dark calibration without a cap, large 4.3” colour touch panel LCD, and Customise function. The C-800 also offers various displays such as Text, Spectrum Graph, Spectrum Comparison, CRI, CRI Comparison, SSI, TLCI/TLMF, TM-30-15, Lighting Filter for Rosco© and LEE©, Camera Filter for Kodak Wratten©, LEE© and Fuji©, Multiple Lights Comparison, and White Balance Correction. It can store up to 99 data measurements in its memory and can be easily analysed on a computer using the C-800 Series Utility. The Sekonic SpectroMaster C-800 was developed with input from leading lighting manufacturers, filmmakers, photographers, and The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Science and Technology Council. It offers more colour rendering modes than any other meter in the industry, including CRI, TLCI, TLMF, TM-30-15, and SSI (Spectral Similarity Index). The C-800 is also the first and only meter to include SSI, which allows users to set any light as a standard or use predefined standards and then gives other lights an SSI score based on how well they will match. It also includes TLCI, TLMF, TM-30-15, and CRI, which can be measured singularly or in two light comparison mode. The C-800 now has more colour control parameters, such as CIE1931 (x, y) and Hue/Saturation, to help match lights to one another. With its high-resolution measuring system and direct display of values for major light source and lens filter brands, the C-800 simplifies correcting and modifying light colour for cleaner recording and faster post-processing.
