iZettle payment card reader

Easy to use - download the iZettle app onto your phone and the reader is connected via bluetooth to your iZettle account - you can take payments anywhere you have phone signal / wifi.

Ideal for car boots, charity sales, mobile services and market stalls.
Izettle take a fee of 1.75% per transaction.
All major payment cards accepted, including American Express.

Install the iZettle Go app on your phone and log in to your account or create one.

To set up:
1. Log in to the iZettle Go app on your phone
2. Click the menu button and go to ‘Settings’
3. Click ‘Card Reader’
4. Select iZettle reader
5. Switch your card reader on and make sure it’s in pairing mode (hold down blue ‘tick’ button for a few seconds)
6. Click ‘Next’.
7. You should see a screen on the app that says ‘Activate pairing mode’. 
8. Click ‘Next’ and select your card reader.
9. You DON’T need to give it access to your contacts and call history just click ‘Pair’ in the app AND click the confirm button on the card reader. You should then get a message ‘Card reader connected!’

Taking payments:
The minimum transaction value is £1.
1. The iZettle Go app will default to the last used transaction method. If you’re totally lost click the menu and select ‘Take payments’.
2. Make sure it says ‘Amount’ next to the menu button. If it doesn’t click on it to change it. You should end up with a screen that looks a bit like a calculator.
3. Type the amount (via the app, not on the card reader itself).
5. Click ‘Charge’
6. The card reader should show the charge amount and will display ‘Tap/insert card’
7. You can do a contactless payment for transactions under £30. Otherwise you’ll need to use Chip & Pin.
8. Place the card in the reader, chip first and upwards.
9. Hand the reader to the customer and get them to enter their PIN followed by the confirm button

This will come pre-charged but charging lead and a tabletop stand will be included in the rental.
