My full-time work is at the University of Leeds studying for a PhD in atmospheric Physics, specifically working on UK weather radar. Outside of work, I love to film my travels and be as cinematic as I possibly can with my relatively mid-range gear. I tend to make feature-length long movies of road trips and storm chasing every couple of years or so. I'm currently working on the biggest project I've ever done, which is a two week road trip in an RV around the U.S. for the solar eclipse in 2017. I used a gimbal, drone, 360 camera and of course every videographer's favourite, the GH4. There is over 100 hours and 5TB of video in total! In 2018...
I went to the U.S. where I filmed me and 3 friends storm chasing for 3 weeks and I'm turning it into a YouTube series. For that I used my 2x 360 cameras (roof and interior) and a gimbal, slider e.t.c to make it super cinematic! Episode one is published under the YouTube channel called VOLATILITY Storm Chasing. I'll get round to the other episodes... eventually!
