Information

Description Enhancing on the already fully-featured Push, the Ableton Push 2 boasts a high resolution multi-colour display and 64 backlit, soft silicon, highly calibrated pads, suitable for the most intricate of sounds. Push 2 allows for further music creation at your fingertips by making beats, playing notes and chords and working easily with samples. After which Live 9 can be used to polish off those tracks. Push 2 allows access to Live’s sound library along with browsing, previewing and loading sounds for making beats. The 64 touch sensitive pads can be used to play beats and the 8 endless encoders can be used to modify the sounds and kits whilst playing. There is the ability to change to a 16 pad mode that allows for play in real-time, adjust the loop length or step sequence beats. Not only that, each individual pad can be adjusted for timing, parameter values and velocity. The controller allows for slicing, playing and modifying samples. It offers three individual speedy workflows which still allow for creativity – Slicing mode, Classic mode and One Shot mode. Slicing mode allows for long samples to be cut and then play each slice on a different pad. This is perfect for reshuffling loops or for creating drum kits from recorded grooves. Classic mode allows you to turn harmonious samples into pitched instruments that are now playable. The classic mode also allows, via the use of the touch sensitive encoders, to define a start and end point as well as sustain, attack, release and decay. One-Shot mode allows samples to be played back through to the end and monophonically. New melodies can be created by transposing a playing sample with retriggering it. The controller is both strong and durable making it ideal for use in a home studio or on stage and allows for performance straight from the device. What you create using Push 2 will be available when you switch to Live mode. Ableton Push 2 comes with Live Intro for users that are new to this controller.
