It’s a screwdriver, basically, but uses percussion to be immensely powerful, and extremely fast compared to alternatives. It’ll blast a screw through wood without drilling a pilot hole, although that’s worth doing anyway near the end of the grain because this thing will split it. The trigger provides variable power depending on how tight you squeeze. Makes a job with lots of repetitive screwing WAY faster (I used it assembling a shed and it probably saved us at least an hour). One of these and a cordless drill go great together to really speed up wood assembly. It can also be used for screwing in other stuff, for example I’ve used it to screw bolts to nuts through metal, which is great in tight spaces where doing it by hand is difficult. As well as a Phillips screwdriver attachment, it comes with a Torx one and a socket set adaptor.
