Catan, like Carcassonne is often seen as one of the "gate-way" games to the hobby for new players. Simple in its' design and rules with a good degree of strategy and negotiation this resource management game is rightly viewed as a modern classic of the genre. Each player plays the role of a settler on the island of Catan, a landscape made up of a number of numbered hexagonal squares. On a roll of the dice each square that has the number rolled on it "produces" a certain type of resource for those settlers that have settlements adjacent to it. Resources are used to grow settlements and score points with resources that you may be abundant able to be traded for materials that may be scarce. However, players need to be watchful for the roving "robber" playing piece that can be used strategically to "steal" (stop a tile producing) resources and hamper the progress of opponents. Suitable for 3 - 4 players, aged 10+. Catan should take around an hour to finish, but may be a little longer the first few games.

In case of cancellation 2 days before the rental period, 100% of the rental amount is refunded. If canceled one day before the rental period, 50% of the rental amount is refunded. If you cancel the same day the rental period starts, no refund is made.
