// CANON 514XL SUPER 8MM // 

A new type of 5x f/1.4 zoom lens was developed, with 13 elements in 11 groups to achieve both high performance and compactness. Macro shooting at both the wide-angle and telephoto ends was made possible. A self-timer mechanism was built into the camera to enable 10 seconds shooting with 10 seconds delay. 
The power source, using mere two AA batteries, was located on top of the camera, and the compact folding-type grip was folded to the bottom of the camera. This layout renewal achieved a body only 39 mm wide. The extensive use of plastic resulted in a light weight of 620 grams, including batteries, but it also had a high-grade black body.

Luke was lovely. Showed me how to use the camera, sent me a video link in case I wanted more instruction (it was pretty straightforward) and also kindly threw in an extra few Polaroid films. He was very flexible on pick up and drop off too which was much appreciated. Couldn’t recommend him enough!
