Spec: 15-inch high-output sub-woofers 1.4-inch titanium dome compression driver Transducer time alignment System protection / limiting 3-band EQ with sweepable mid Mic/line input allows direct connection of microphone Angled design ideal for use as a stage monitor More details: https://www.gear4music.com/PA-DJ-and-Lighting/Mackie-Thump-15-Active-PA-Speakers-with-Free-Stands/15CQ#full-des SET UP / GUIDELINES: Please always use the speakers on their poles, don't put them on the floor. It will prevent drinks being spilt on them, which could break the speakers. On the stands, please don't tighten the screws which secure the poles too much, it can damage the poles. (Using the small metal rods will keep it secure anyway.) Please don't put the mixing desk where people might spill drinks. SAFETY - Make sure the stand's legs are open wide to prevent being pushed over. - Make sure the small metal rods (attached to the stands by the ropey bits) are put through the holes in the poles, to prevent the speakers falling. - Don't leave leads where they can be tripped over. - Leave extra slack on the leads so if they are tripped over the speakers are not pulled over. SOUND QUALITY / PROPER USE - Please don't leave the speakers on overnight / when they're not in use. - Please turn the mixing desk on FIRST and speakers SECOND. This prevents loud bangs which damages speakers (& is unpleasant!) - When inserting / taking out an aux cable from a device (ipod etc.) please turn down the main volume knob on the mixing desk FIRST, turn it up once the device is connected. This prevents loud bangs / buzz which damages speakers (& is unpleasant!) - There are recommended settings for the knobs on the back of the speakers, written on the back of the speakers. They're good, they'll give you the best sound. If you're playing music at a party use the 'DJ' setting. - If you're worried about noise bothering neighbours, turning down the speaker bass knobs helps. Bass travels further than mid & treble. - Have the speakers around head hight or just above for ideal sound. HAVE FUN! Please take care of my stuff! :) Tom.
